Prejo Bakehouse started with one recipe: overripe bananas, brown butter, and a splash of espresso, baked because the fruit bowl was about to go to waste. Friends asked for more. Then friends of friends did too.
Today every loaf is still hand-mixed in small batches with ingredients you'd recognise from your own kitchen — no preservatives, nothing pre-made. We bake to order, so what arrives at your door was in the oven days, not weeks, before it reaches you.
We're a small UK bakery, and we take allergen information seriously: every recipe is tested, documented, and listed clearly on every product so you can order with confidence.
Compliant with UK Food Information Regulations. Always let us know about severe allergies in your order notes — our kitchen handles gluten, eggs, dairy, tree nuts and soya, so cross-contamination is possible across all products.

We bake in small batches close to your order and delivery date, so your loaf is typically only 1–3 days old on arrival — never frozen, never mass-produced weeks in advance.
Local pickup (free), local hand-delivery (from £3.50, free over £30), and tracked UK-wide courier delivery (from £5.95, arriving in 2–3 working days) packed to stay fresh in transit.
Best enjoyed within 4–5 days at room temperature in an airtight container, or up to 3 months frozen (sliced, so you can defrost just what you need).
